Isaiah 43:19 · See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

You thought you were buried.
You were just planted.

Under every label, every hard season, and everything you were handed, the woman God made was never gone. She was covered over. This is where she comes back into the light.

An invitation

She might be you.

Every woman who has ever made herself small, carried someone else’s storms, or forgotten her worth. This is for her.

Our mission is to create stories, spaces and experiences that speak life into weary souls. We point women and girls back to God, the Way Maker, the identity giver, the Father who kneels down.

Because the crown was always there. And when a woman remembers whose she is, everything changes.

Her story

“This was an assignment,
not an idea.”

Danica did not sit down to write a book. The story arrived the way an assignment does, whole and not entirely by choice. A girl in a dress stitched from other people’s words. A boy who brought storms instead of water. A letter she had been carrying in her own pocket the whole time.

The girl in this story is not one person. She is every woman who has ever made herself small, carried someone else’s storms, or forgotten that she was loved before she did anything to deserve it.

Maybe you show up for everyone. Maybe you have held onto your faith through things you do not talk about. And still there is a quiet ache that you have forgotten who you really are. You are not too far gone. You are not alone. And if she is you, this story ends somewhere beautiful.

The Book

She Forgot She Was a Princess

It reads like a fairy tale and lands like the truth. A girl wearing a dress stitched from words that were never hers. A letter in her own pocket that was hers before she did anything to earn it. A King who does not wait at a distance. Women finish it and say, quietly, that was me.

A story, and a six-week walk back to the truth of who God says you are.

“This is a beautiful story that so many women can relate to! Literally brought me to tears.”

Sam M.

“I just wanted to tell you how much we loved your book. It’s absolutely amazing! My daughter hasn’t stopped talking about it.”

Speaking

Have Danica speak

Danica reads the story with a room and then opens it up. Every woman gets a guide to follow along in, write in, and take home. There are no right or wrong answers, and nobody has to share anything they write. If you are planning a retreat, a women’s night, or a ministry event that needs something honest, she would love to be there.

In her readers’ words

Quietly, things begin to change

This is a beautiful story that so many women can relate to! Literally brought me to tears. Danica has a way of making this book enjoyable to both young girls and adult women. Even as someone who is not religious, I loved this book beginning to end.

I just wanted to tell you how much we loved your book. It’s absolutely amazing! My daughter hasn’t stopped talking about it. This morning she said, “I pray that she sells her book so quickly and that everyone gets to know about it.”

Sometimes we forget who we are, and this story beautifully shows how powerful it can be to be reminded of your own inner brightness.

This book is for the little girl in all of us. The little girl overwhelmed by the harshness of life, searching for acceptance, affection and love. The deep abiding Love we find in the King.

Danica has a rare gift. She doesn’t just make people feel welcomed. She makes them feel safe. Safe to be vulnerable, safe to grow, safe to heal, safe to rediscover who they were created to be.

Meet Danica

A teacher, a minister, a friend on the way.

Danica Cross is a teacher, a licensed minister, and a published author. She does not write from above the road. She writes from on it, one step ahead of the woman reading, still walking. She has read this story with rooms of women who came in carrying everything and left walking differently.
